FORMER PASTOR WADE BARNES Wade Barnes was born and raised in Oak Vale, Mississippi. He graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Six years ago, in September 2017, he accepted his second pastorate here at Fellowship Baptist Church in Polson, Montana. The members and friends fell in love with his messages and ministry. He has a true heart for the Lord and for the Polson area population. The church moved to its new location on Lakeview Drive. After six years of faithful ministry to this community, Pastor Wade submitted his resignation on Sunday, September 10, 2023, that was effective on September 24, 2023. He headed back to Mississippi. There are many churches that need his ministry there. He also has many relatives and friends in that area. He is so greatly missed by people in the Polson area. His Farewell Sermon was at 11:00am on September 24, 2023, following a special brunch at 9:45am in the Fellowship Room. https://youtu.be/s39TZFMVRo4 If you missed these two services, here is a short summary of the two events: https://youtu.be/6fWsVRCxzGs Please take a moment and pray for our ministries, as well as God's leading for a new pastor at Fellowship Baptist Polson. |
WE MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION IN 2018 Fellowship Baptist Church has been established for more than a decade, but moved to the new west Polson/Kerr location overlooking Flathead Lake on Lakeview Drive, just off of Kerr Dam Road. The building dedication was May 6, 2018. The building has been renovated and the property is continually improving. If you are in the area, please visit and enjoy the refreshing breezes from the west hills. You will experience wonderful fellowship, joyful singing and a message from God's Word. We welcome your visit. People are eager to greet you and show you around. When you arrive, you will see a large parking area to the right of the church. Our full, newly-remodeled downstairs level has children's rooms, full kitchen area, additional restrooms and Fellowship Room with new LED lighting. The pastor's study has been recently upgraded as well as the room across the entryway used for Bible studies, women's Sunday School and prayer. For the worship services in our main sanctuary, we have comfortable seating and a friendly environment. Much of our joyful music includes traditional hymns of praise. And on fifth Sundays throughout the year, we have our popular Fifth Sunday Sing and Fellowship Lunch to replace the 11:00AM service. Fellowship Baptist also has a nursery and Children's Church during the worship service. |
